Triumph Motorcycles is set to debut a new 400cc modern classic motorcycle in India today, September 17, 2024. The brand previously teased the bike with a photo showcasing its fuel tank and engine, confirming it will share the same engine as the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X. The teaser suggests the motorcycle is a derivative of the Speed 400.

Expansion of the Speed 400 Lineup

The Triumph Speed 400 lineup is set to grow with the introduction of a new variant, launching today, September 17. The teaser image reveals a large Triumph logo on the fuel tank, aligning with the design of the Speed 400. Triumph has officially launched the Speed T4, a more affordable version of the Speed 400, priced at Rs 2.17 lakh. This new model will be sold alongside the MY2025 Speed 400, which is priced at Rs 2.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Engine Upgrades

Triumph has made several adjustments to the 400cc single-cylinder engine in the Speed T4. The enhancements focus on improving rideability, especially at lower to mid-range speeds between 3,500-5,500 rpm. By increasing engine inertia by 30% compared to the Speed 400, the bike now delivers smoother performance, allowing for effortless cruising at 100 km/h.

Key Features

The Speed T4 comes equipped with several notable features, including manual throttle body control, a slipper clutch, 43mm telescopic forks, dual-channel ABS, and a USB port. It will be available in three striking colors: Pearl Metallic White, Cocktail Wine Red, and Phantom Black.

Updates to MY2025 Speed 400

Triumph has also updated the MY2025 iteration of the Speed 400. The new model features high-profile tires, a more comfortable seat, and adjustable levers for enhanced ride quality. Key features such as the ride-by-wire throttle, switchable traction control, torque assist clutch, and dual-channel ABS remain unchanged.
