BMW has unveiled the XM Label, an ultra-powerful variant of the XM performance SUV, priced at Rs 3.15 crore. It is Rs 55 lakh more expensive than the standard XM and is one of only 500 units globally, with just one unit available in India. While internationally known as the XM Label Red, it is named the XM Label in India.

BMW XM Label: Powertrain

As the most powerful BMW M model, the XM Label boasts a tuned 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, delivering 748 PS and 1000 Nm—an increase of 95 PS and 200 Nm over the standard XM. It features a hybrid system with a 25.7 kWh battery pack, allowing for up to 82 km of pure electric driving. The XM Label accelerates from 0-100 kmph in just 3.8 seconds, five seconds faster than the standard XM, with an electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph, extendable to 290 kmph with the M Driver’s package. Power is transmitted to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.

BMW XM Label: Exterior

The XM Label stands out with its BMW Individual Frozen Carbon Black Metallic finish and striking red accents. These red highlights adorn the kidney grille surround, wheel inserts, model badges, rear diffuser, and brake calipers. It rides on 22-inch M light alloy wheels. The exterior design largely mirrors the standard XM, except for these distinctive cosmetic upgrades.

BMW XM Label: Interior and Features

Inside, the XM Label features a red and black theme that complements its sporty exterior. A unique 1/500 plaque is prominently displayed below the control display. Red stitching decorates the seats, instrument panel, door trim, and centre console, with additional red accents on the AC vents. The SUV is equipped with a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, a 20-speaker Bowers and Wilkins surround sound system, a heads-up display, connected car tech, multi-colour ambient lighting, and four-zone climate control

BMW XM Label: Safety and Rivals

The XM Label is packed with safety features, including 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, ABS, cornering brake control (CBC), dynamic brake control (DBC), active roll stabilisation with active roll comfort, an electric parking brake with auto hold, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and a range of ADAS features. Priced at Rs 3.15 crore, the XM Label competes with high-end rivals like the Lamborghini Urus and Audi RS Q8.

Conclusion

The BMW XM Label is a groundbreaking addition to the luxury SUV market, combining unparalleled power, exclusive design, and cutting-edge technology in a single, remarkable package. With its enhanced 748 PS engine, distinctive red accents, and luxurious interior features, this limited-edition model is set to redefine automotive excellence. Priced at Rs 3.15 crore, it stands as a bold statement of BMW’s commitment to performance and exclusivity. As the only unit available in India out of just 500 globally, the XM Label is a rare gem that promises an extraordinary driving experience, making it a formidable competitor against other high-end SUVs like the Lamborghini Urus and Audi RS Q8.
