The 2025 Multistrada V4 models bear a striking resemblance to their 2024 counterparts, with the most prominent visual changes being the updated paint schemes beneath the headlight. The front fascia now boasts a sharper, more angular design, paired with revamped LED lights inspired by the Panigale. At the rear, a sleeker exhaust design lends the bike a cleaner aesthetic. For the Pikes Peak variant, Ducati has equipped it with an Akrapovič titanium silencer as standard. Riders can choose from three color options—red, white, and black—with the latter two reserved exclusively for the higher-end V4 S model.

Ducati Multistrada V4 Line-up: Engine Updates

The 2025 Multistrada V4 continues to be powered by the liquid-cooled 1158cc V4 Granturismo engine, delivering 170hp at 10,750rpm and 124Nm of torque at 9000rpm. Paired with a 6-speed gearbox, this model introduces several updates while preserving much of the design and engineering from previous years. The advanced Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) system, borrowed from the Panigale, now manages cornering ABS, traction control, and wheelie control. The DVO processes input from 70 sensors, adjusting electronic inputs based on real-time conditions, thanks to insights developed through Ducati’s MotoGP experience.

The V4 and V4 S models also feature five riding modes, including the addition of a new ‘Wet’ mode for rainy conditions. The ‘Enduro’ mode has been recalibrated for improved off-road performance, while the Pikes Peak version gains an exclusive ‘Race’ mode, emphasizing its sportier attributes. Across all Multistrada V4 models, Ducati has added a three-level engine braking control system, initially seen in the Rally model. Cylinder deactivation has also been refined, enhancing fuel efficiency by about 6%, with the rear cylinder bank reactivating when more power is needed.

Ducati Multistrada V4 Line-up: Feature Updates

The 2025 models introduce an upgraded auto ride height reduction feature, allowing the bike to automatically lower at speeds below 10kph, improving user-friendliness in low-speed situations. Once the rider surpasses 50kph, the bike returns to its standard height. This feature remains exclusive to the Skyhook-equipped V4 S variant.

Additionally, the Multistrada V4 S now includes a Forward Collision Warning (FCW) system, which alerts the rider to potential collisions via the TFT screen. This system complements the existing Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Blind Spot Detection (BSD) features, maintaining Ducati’s focus on rider safety.

Ducati Multistrada V4 Line-up: Chassis Updates

While the 2025 chassis design remains largely unchanged, continuing to use the aluminium monocoque frame, Ducati made a subtle adjustment by raising the swingarm pivot by 1mm. This modification enhances the suspension’s anti-squat performance, boosting ride quality both when solo and with a load. The V4 and V4 S variants feature a new double-sided swingarm, whereas the sportier Pikes Peak model retains its single-sided swingarm, reinforcing its performance-oriented identity.

Suspension upgrades vary across the models. The base Multistrada V4 features manual fully-adjustable suspension, including a USD fork and a rear shock with remote preload adjustment. The V4 S model receives updated Ducati Skyhook electronic suspension, with a new position sensor on the front fork and rear shock, along with an expanded preload range. The V4 S also features a self-levelling function and a bump detection system that adjusts the rear suspension dynamically. A new button has been added to the 2025 models, allowing suspension adjustments on the go. The Pikes Peak version, in contrast, is equipped with Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 suspension, designed for enhanced sport performance, also featuring a button for easy suspension tuning.

Ducati Multistrada V4 Line-up: Braking System Enhancements

For 2025, Ducati has improved braking across the Multistrada V4 lineup. The base model now comes with Brembo monoblock four-piston calipers and 320mm front discs, while the rear disc size has been upgraded from 265mm to 280mm. The V4 S and Pikes Peak models get Brembo Stylema calipers and larger 330mm front rotors. All models are now equipped with an Electronic Combined Braking System that coordinates braking between the front and rear. On the Pikes Peak variant, this system emphasizes front-to-rear braking, automatically applying the rear brake when using the front lever, while the V4 and V4 S models include rear-to-front braking adjustments for balanced control.

Ducati Multistrada V4 Line-up: Luggage System Improvements

Ducati has also refined the luggage system on the V4 S model, enhancing two-up riding comfort. The mounts for the panniers and top case have been moved further back, inspired by the Rally model, to give passengers more legroom. Additionally, a die-cast aluminium support for the top case improves stability and comfort, making long-distance touring even more enjoyable.

Conclusion

The 2025 Ducati Multistrada V4 lineup builds upon its legacy as a leader in the adventure bike segment, delivering a series of thoughtful updates that enhance both performance and rider comfort. With improved braking, refined suspension systems, cutting-edge electronics like the DVO, and a sleek, updated design, the new models, including the V4, V4 S, and Pikes Peak, cater to riders seeking versatility and sportiness. Ducati’s dedication to advancing technology is evident in features such as the Forward Collision Warning and enhanced ride modes, making the 2025 Multistrada V4 a well-rounded, powerful, and adaptable machine ready for any adventure.
