Variants and Pricing

The updated Tiger 1200 is available in two primary variants: the GT Pro, priced at Rs 19.39 lakh, and the Rally Pro, which retails at Rs 20.39 lakh (ex-showroom). Additionally, the GT Explorer and Rally Explorer variants can be requested, although their prices have yet to be announced.

Engine and Performance Enhancements

The heart of the Tiger 1200 range is an updated 1160 cc inline-triple engine. Triumph has refined this engine with modifications to the crankshaft, alternator rotor, and balancer to improve low-end performance. The power output remains consistent at 148 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 130 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. This recalibration ensures better torque delivery at lower RPMs, enhancing overall rideability.

Suspension and Comfort Features

The 2024 Tiger 1200 introduces an Active Preload Reduction system, allowing the rear suspension preload to automatically lower when the bike stops, facilitating easier mounting and dismounting. Riders can also adjust the seat height by up to 20 mm at the touch of a button. The GT Pro offers an adjustable seat height of 850/870 mm, while the Rally Pro stands taller at 875/895 mm.

Design and Build

Constructed on a robust tubular steel frame with a twin-sided “Tri-Link” aluminium swingarm, the Tiger 1200 series features Showa’s 49mm semi-active damping USD forks that provide 200mm of wheel travel. The rear is equipped with a semi-active monoshock that incorporates electronic preload adjustment alongside the new Active Preload Reduction function.

Wheels and Braking System

The Tiger 1200 Rally Pro retains its formidable 21-inch front and 18-inch rear tubeless spoked wheels, perfect for off-road adventures. In contrast, the GT Pro variant comes with 19-inch front and 18-inch rear cast aluminium wheels. Both models feature high-performance braking systems, with Brembo monoblock radial calipers and twin 320mm floating discs at the front, complemented by a single 282mm disc with a Brembo single-piston caliper at the rear.

Color Options

The Tiger 1200 GT Pro is available in striking colors such as Carnival Red, Snowdonia White, and Sapphire Black. Meanwhile, the Rally Pro can be chosen in Matt Sandstorm, Jet Black, and Matt Khaki, ensuring that riders can select a model that fits their personal style.

Warranty and Service of Updated Triumph Tiger 1200

To provide peace of mind, the Tiger 1200 range comes with a three-year unlimited mileage warranty, extendable upon request. The service intervals are set at 16,000 kilometers or every 12 months, making maintenance hassle-free.

Conclusion: Triumph Tiger 1200

The updated Triumph Tiger 1200 range marks a significant step forward in adventure touring, blending advanced technology with comfort and style. Bookings for the new models are now open at all authorized Triumph dealerships, allowing adventure enthusiasts to experience the thrill of the road and beyond.
