The new edition enhances the SUV’s aesthetics while maintaining its powerful mechanical setup. This special edition, released just in time for the festive season, features cosmetic upgrades and convenience accessories, giving the Scorpio Classic a fresh, stealthy, and sporty vibe. Let’s dive into the details of what this special edition brings to the table.

Mahindra Scorpio Classic Boss Edition: Key Highlights

  • Cosmetic upgrades: Enhanced black-themed accents and dark chrome finishes.
  • Interior updates: New black seat covers and comfort kit with cushions and pillows.
  • New tech feature: Reverse parking camera.
  • No mechanical changes: Same 2.2-litre diesel engine delivering 132 PS and 300 Nm.

Exterior Upgrades: Rugged Meets Stealthy

The Mahindra Scorpio Classic Boss Edition boasts several cosmetic changes that dial up the vehicle’s aggressive yet sporty appeal. Let’s explore these exterior tweaks:

  • Bonnet Scoop with Dark Chrome Applique: Adds a muscular look to the front.
  • Front Grille with Dark Chrome Finish: Elevates the SUV’s bold stance.
  • Additional Skid Plate: Boosts the ruggedness of the SUV’s front end.
  • Headlamps & Fog Lamps with Dark Chrome Trim: Matches the stealthy theme, enhancing the visual appeal.
  • Side Enhancements:
    • ORVMs with carbon fibre finish.
    • Rain visors and door handles with dark chrome accents.
    • Side indicators wrapped in a dark chrome theme.
  • Rear Enhancements:
    • Black trim for LED tail lights.
    • Rear guard with black powder coating for added toughness.
    • Dark chrome surrounds for the rear reflectors.

These exterior changes give the Scorpio Classic a sleek, aggressive makeover, reinforcing its status as the ultimate rugged SUV with a sporty edge.

Interior Enhancements: Sporty Black Theme

Inside, the Boss Edition introduces a fresh black-themed design, replacing the standard beige upholstery with a more sophisticated black finish. Key interior upgrades include:

  • Black-Themed Seat Upholstery: A stylish departure from the traditional beige, the black seats add to the vehicle’s stealthy appearance.
  • Comfort Kit: Comes with pillows and cushions, enhancing comfort on long journeys.

These interior tweaks give the Scorpio Classic a more modern and sporty feel, aligning with its rugged exterior.

New Tech Addition: Reverse Parking Camera

One of the most significant additions to the Boss Edition is the inclusion of a reverse parking camera. This feature, previously absent in the standard model, adds much-needed convenience and safety, making parking easier in tight spaces.

Powertrain: No Changes Under the Hood

Mechanically, the Boss Edition remains identical to the standard Scorpio Classic. It continues to be powered by the 2.2-litre diesel engine, which produces 132 PS of power and 300 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox that channels power to the rear wheels. This tried-and-tested setup ensures that the Scorpio Classic remains the capable workhorse it has always been.

Mahindra Scorpio Classic Boss Edition: Pricing and Rivals

Mahindra is yet to announce the official pricing for the Boss Edition. However, the standard Scorpio Classic is priced between Rs 13.61 lakh and Rs 17.41 lakh (ex-showroom). Though it lacks direct competitors, the Scorpio Classic can be viewed as a body-on-frame alternative to compact SUVs such as the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Tata Curvv, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Honda Elevate.

Conclusion: Is the Mahindra Scorpio Classic Boss Edition Worth the Hype?

Absolutely! The Mahindra Scorpio Classic Boss Edition adds just the right amount of style and convenience to elevate the rugged charm of the OG Big Daddy. With its stealthy black-themed interior, dark chrome exterior accents, and the much-needed addition of a reverse parking camera, this edition brings a fresh appeal without compromising on the proven mechanical performance of the Scorpio Classic. If you’re after a tough, sporty SUV with a dash of modern flair, the Boss Edition certainly lives up to the hype.
