Mahindra has finally unveiled the highly anticipated Thar Roxx, a 5-door version of their popular off-road SUV. Launching on August 15, 2024, this new model promises to combine the rugged capabilities of the Thar with enhanced practicality and premium features.

Pricing and Availability

The Thar Roxx starts at an attractive price point of Rs 12.99 lakh for the base petrol variant, while the diesel version begins at Rs 13.99 lakh. This positions it Rs 1.64 lakh higher than its 3-door counterpart. Bookings will open on October 2nd, with test drives commencing on September 14th. Deliveries are slated to begin on October 12th, coinciding with Dussehra.

Mahindra offers the Thar Roxx in multiple variants:

  1. MX1: The entry-level trim
  2. MX3: Adds drive modes and terrain modes
  3. AX3 L: Introduces ADAS features
  4. MX5: Includes premium amenities like a sunroof
  5. AX5 L: Adds an electronic parking brake
  6. AX7 L: The top-spec variant with all the bells and whistles

The Thar Roxx comes with two engine choices:

  • 2.0-litre turbo-petrol: 162hp, 330Nm
  • 2.2-litre diesel: 152hp, 330Nm Both engines are available with manual and automatic transmission options, depending on the variant.

The Thar Roxx maintains the iconic Thar look while introducing some distinctive elements:

  • New six-slot grille design
  • LED projector headlamps with C-shaped DRLs
  • Chunky wheel arches
  • 18-inch or 19-inch alloy wheels (variant-dependent)
  • Unique rear door handle placement
  • Dual-tone paint options

The cabin of the Thar Roxx sees significant upgrades:

  • Dual 10.25-inch screens for infotainment and instrumentation
