For those interested in the BaaS model, the starting price is even more appealing at Rs 10 lakh.

Design and Aesthetics

The MG Windsor EV features a design inspired by SAIC’s Wuling Cloud EV. Its sleek profile includes a prominent bumper, stylish low-set headlamps, and a high-set LED light bar. The use of gloss black elements adds a touch of sophistication. Available in four striking colors—turquoise green, pear white, clay beige, and starburst black—the Windsor EV caters to various style preferences.

Performance and Battery Life

Under the hood, the Windsor EV houses a 38 kWh battery pack paired with a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor that delivers 134 bhp and 200 Nm of torque. Drivers can select from four driving modes: Eco+, Eco, Normal, and Sport. MG claims a maximum range of 331 km on a full charge, and with DC fast charging capabilities, the battery can be charged in approximately 40 minutes, making it suitable for both daily commutes and longer trips.

Interior Features

Inside, the Windsor EV is designed with comfort and technology in mind. Highlights include:

  • A 15.6-inch ‘Grandview’ central touchscreen
  • A digital instrument cluster for enhanced visibility
  • Reclining rear seats (up to 135 degrees) for passenger comfort
  • Powered tailgate and 360-degree cameras for convenience
  • Wireless phone charging and a six-speaker audio system
  • Integrated connected car technology for modern connectivity

MG Windsor EV Rivals in the Market

The MG Windsor EV enters a competitive landscape, primarily facing off against the Tata Nexon EV, priced between Rs 12.49 lakh and Rs 16.29 lakh. Notably, the top variant of the Windsor EV is priced Rs 79,000 less than the Nexon EV’s premium model, while the entry-level Nexon EV undercuts the Windsor’s Excite variant by Rs 1 lakh.

Booking and Test Drive Information

Prospective buyers can begin booking the MG Windsor EV on October 3, 2024, with test drives available at dealerships starting September 25, 2024. This gives interested customers the chance to experience the vehicle firsthand before making a purchase decision.
