Hyundai Motor India will debut the 2024 version of the Alcazar, its popular three-row SUV, on September 9, 2024. Recently spotted during testing, this updated model brings several changes. Here’s a quick rundown of what we know so far.

Exterior Updates
The refreshed Alcazar will feature numerous cosmetic enhancements, including a new grille design, split-LED headlights similar to those on the Creta facelift, and a redesigned bumper. While the side profile will largely resemble the outgoing model, expect newly-designed alloy wheels. At the rear, the SUV is anticipated to have a redesigned tailgate and a full-width LED light bar.

Interior and Features
Inside, the Alcazar is set to borrow the dashboard design from the new Creta, featuring twin 10.25-inch screens for the infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. Additional upgrades are likely to include dual-zone automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a wireless charger, and an electrically-adjustable driver’s seat. The facelifted model may also come equipped with ADAS features.

Engine Options
The 2024 Alcazar is expected to retain its current engine options:

  • 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine: 160 hp, 253 Nm, available with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
  • 1.5-litre diesel engine: 116 hp, 250 Nm, available with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Price and Competitors
Prices for the facelifted Alcazar are anticipated to start around Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom). The current model ranges from Rs 16.77 lakh to Rs 21.28 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The new Alcazar will compete with the Mahindra XUV700, Tata Safari, and MG Hector Plus.

Interior Highlights
The updated Alcazar is expected to feature a modernized cabin similar to the Creta’s, including dual 10.25-inch integrated displays and a host of premium features such as dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, and a wireless charger. Safety features are likely to include six airbags, parking sensors, and an electronic stability program, with a strong possibility of ADAS integration.
